The cottage is situated adjacent to the village green in the heart of Mathry, which is a small picturesque hilltop village with far reaching views of the coast. It has a good, friendly pub which serves hearty food, an award-winning tea-room, post office, wood-turners and church. Abermawr Beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are within walking distance making Ty Mathry an ideal base to explore the beautiful national park of North Pembrokeshire.
Nearby is Strumble Head (seal and porpoise watching), Fishguard, and St Davids with its Blue Flag Whitesands Beach (ideal for surfing), Bishops Palace and Cathedral are all within easy reach. A regular bus service runs through the village connecting Fishguard, St Davids, Haverfordwest and surrounding coastline.

Getting here
From England by car:
Follow the M4 until it turns into the A48 (signposted Camarthen)
Take the A40 out of Camarthen towards Haverford West.
Follow the A40 North to Fishguard and turn left in Letterstone onto the B4331.
Continue over the crossroads of the A487 up the hill to Mathry and the cottage is found on the left hand side after the woodturners.
